Inertia • The tendency of an object to resist change in motion.

Velocity • is speed (distance over time) plus DIRECTION. • example: 35 mph North
Acceleration • is a change in velocity • example: speeding up, slowing down, or changing direction
friction • a force caused by two surfaces rubbing together and works against the motion.
Weight • the measurement of the gravitational pull on an object.
Air resistance • a force that opposes the motion of objects through the air.
Projectile • An object that has both horizontal & vertical motion as it follows an arched path due to gravity & the force of being “thrown,”
Centripetal force • a force that causes an object to follow a curved path.
Gravity • a force of attraction between objects which depends on the mass of the objects & how close they are to each other.
