  2. Defying the exit polls and surmounting against incumbency, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), drove by Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United), is back in power in Bihar with aslender majority. The decision alliance won 125 seats in the 243-part state Assembly. The Rashtriya Janata Dal-drove Mahagathbandhan secured 110. The command makes ready for a fourth progressive term in office for Kumar. Its defeat notwithstanding, the RJD arose as the single-biggest gathering with 75 seats. The BJP completed second with a count of 74 seats. Lok Janshakti Party President Chirag Paswan described the Bihar survey results as a "triumph" of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying people had shown their trust in him.
