Please copy down these twodefinitions in your notes section • Jingoism: Extreme and emotional nationalism, or chauvinism, often characterized by an aggressive foreign policy and eagerness to wage war. • Ottoman Empire (1301-1922): the last of a series of Turkish  Muslim empires. It eventually encompassed most of the Middle East, North Africa, and parts of Europe, including modern Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Rumania and Yugoslavia. However, by the start of WWI it was declining. Popular Song “We don't want to fight, yet by jingo, if we do,we've got the ships, we've got the men, and got the money, too!” Example of Nationalism

Then, after a short pause, there was a violent choking sound caused by the bleeding. It was stopped as we reached the Konak."

Due By The End of Class Based off your notes and the info on pages 819 820: 1) Please list and briefly describe three reasons why relations between countries started to deteriorate or lead towards war in the late 1800s and early 1900s. 2) Create a flow chart or comic that shows the path towards WWI. Make sure to include major events and show/explain why France, Russia, and Great Britain all entered. At least 7 frames/boxes. Extra credit for two best ones…. 3) Choose 3 countries from the table on page 820 and write who they were allied with and why they entered the war.
