COMMUNITY AND TECHNCIAL COLLEGE SYSTEM OF WV • Entrepreneurship Education • College Impact • Allowed technical and career faculty to see an entrepreneurial fit without losing the primary vision of their program • Wrap-around courses available for any program of study • Students provided an option of acquiring business skills in their particular program of study • Students can make a job rather than take a job

COMMUNITY AND TECHNCIAL COLLEGE SYSTEM OF WV • Entrepreneurship Education • College Impact • Blue Ridge CTC: Academy of Culinary Arts and Hospitality • Led to retail outlet, named Bruin Café, a learning laboratory • WVU-Parkersburg: Developed a Center for Entrepreneurship • Received additional funding through Coldwater Creek for Entrepreneurial Lecture Series • Kanawha Valley CTC: Partnering with Center for Economic Options • Putnam County Farmers Market

COMMUNITY AND TECHNCIAL COLLEGE SYSTEM OF WV • Entrepreneurship Education • College Impact • Mountwest CTC • Certificate and Skill Set for Entrepreneurship for Healthcare • Bridgemont CTC • Developed the wrap-around courses that can be added to all programs of study. They have 16 students who have declared entrepreneurship as a second major

COMMUNITY AND TECHNCIAL COLLEGE SYSTEM OF WV • Green Entrepreneurship Education • Division of Labor Grant • Workforce WV – Fiscal Agent in State Energy Sector Partnership Grant • Supports the Development of Basic Green Courses • Combines Courses with Technical Skills • Working Closely with WVCTCS and CTCs • Bridgemont developed and held webinar • How to Green Any Curriculum

COMMUNITY AND TECHNCIAL COLLEGE SYSTEM OF WV • Green Entrepreneurship Education • Division of Energy “Green Collar” Grant $1,000,000 • Four Projects - $250,000 each • Wind Energy: Eastern WV CTC • Educates students to be wind energy technicians • Certificate and Associate Degree • Entrepreneurship Emphasis • 40 students
