  3. Funding • 93% of colleges are not in compliance with Title IX • Since 1991 the number of male athletes has grown 3.3% • Since 1991 the number of female athletes has grown 48.9%

  4. Coaching and Discrimination • 1972 90% of women’s sports were coached by men • 2008 less than 40% of women’s sports are coached by women • Sylvia Hatchell one of many who are helping to reverse this trend.
