FoodIngredientsChina2011(FIC2011) organized by China Food Additives & Ingredients Association (CFAA), CCPIT Sub-Council of Light Industry (CCPITSLI) and China Food Additives Journal (CFAJ),was successfully held at Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center, INTEX Shanghai and Shanghaimart and closed on March 25th, 2011. After several years’ development, FIC has become the largest and most influential brand show on food additives and ingredients in Asia and owns the reputation of "The Top Show" in this field.
FIC 2011 highlights The largest and professional trading and communicating platform 1102 exhibitors were from 27 countries and regions, up 4% over the last edition,including 242 overseas and 860 domestic. The total booth space was over58,000sqm,1400 sqm more than last edition.In three show days, FIC 2011 attracted 31,282 visitors (82,920 person-trip) in all from 66 countries and regions. Focusing on food industry with professional service FIC focused on the food industry at home and overseas, featuring with the professional service and popular participation in series of activities alongside the exhibition. Top suppliers' gathering to show FIC's authority FIC were with leading domestic and overseas companies on the food and additives industry, Chinese excellent export-oriented companies, as well as healthy and natural food manufacturers all over the world. Displaying the high-technology, new products at the leading edge of the industry, FIC completely reflected the development of the global food industry. Serving international buyers with many choices Exhibits covered the state-ratified 22 categories of food additives, 35 categories of food ingredients, food processing aids, machinery & techniques and so on , spreading every field of the food industry. 90% of exhibitors were manufacturers;most of Chinese leading export- oriented companies joined the exhibition, showing the overall level of Chinese companies, providing comprehensive and series of solution and service with specialties, making FIC as buyers' first choice of targeting and purchasing.
FIC 2011 Highlights Following the trend of natural and healthy To meet the strong appetite of healthy food in market, FIC highlighted healthy, nutritious, natural and functional food as well as new technology. 40% of exhibits were made from natural materials and natural extracts. Series of professional activities to show the trend of the industry Concerning the industry development, food safety, technology innovation,rational application of food additives and ingredients and other hot topics, FIC held professional activities in series: Membership Meeting of CFAA, Summit Forum on development and application of Novel foods, Sino-Japan Economic and Trade Promotion Meeting on Food Additives and Ingredients Industry, 3 conferences on 17 topics and 34 technical seminars. Ultimate communication between suppliers and buyers At the invitation of exhibitors, many global clients and agents ordered goods on site and joined the new products release conference to build up the ultimate communication through the whole industry chain.
FIC 2011 Highlights Focusing on serving the industry with strong cohesion Holding the principle of serving the industry, FIC enjoyed the high popularity and strong cohesion of exhibitors and attracted more professionals year by year. FIC 2011 attracted 31,282 professional visitors(82,930 person-trip) from 66 countries and regions.98% of visitors expressed the willingness of visiting FIC 2012. The number of pre-registered visitors was 5108, 32% more than last edition.

FIC 2011 Overview • Academic conferences and technical seminars: Three sessions of academic conferences on 17 topics and 34 technical seminars, with 21overseas and 13 domestic speakers attracted over 4,650 professionals from manufacturing and scientific research fields. 72 thesis were published and the focal point of academic conferences and seminars were hot issues like food safety, health, technical innovation and new trends. Meanwhile, China Food Additives and Ingredients Association co-organizedSino-Japan Economic and Trade Promotion Meeting on Food Additives and Ingredients Industry with Japan Food Additives Association and Japan Food Chemical Newspaper. • Consultation on site: Experts from 10commissions under China Food Additives & Ingredients Association provided consultation service on site.
