  4. The Bits of Software • This allows you to print anything to a PDF instead of onto paper. (You just select PDF995 as your printer) • Don’t know what this is but why the hell not, its free. • This allows you to join multiple PDFs or extract pages from PDFs. Alls the software is intuitive & easy to use

  5. Select PDF995 as your printer

  6. So with PDF995 you can make any Word or Excel file into a PDF that can’t be edited (easily). • e.g. Word forms from BADER if you want to host them on a Sqn website and not have people edit them.

  7. Make PDFs of Memory Map • Plan your route on Memory map • Get the route into the centre of the screen • Press “Alt” & “Print Screen” Keys (this copies a picture of the window you’re looking at to the ‘clipboard’) • Open any image editor (e.g. ‘Paint’) • Paste the image from the clipboard.(Edit->Paste) • Select the bit of the image you need (i.e. cut off the title bar etc. from Memory Map) • Copy it (Edit->Copy)

Make PDFs of Memory Map • Open a new, blank Word document • Paste the cropped image (Edit->Paste) • Annotate as appropriate. • Print to PDF995 Takes no more than 2 minutes – just looks complicated If you don’t have MS Office, you can download a free office suite which is excellent. www.openoffice.org Example PDF map…..
