  1. PASADO DEL VERBO “TO BE” El verbo "to be" en el pasado se utiliza para hablar de como ha sido o estado algo o alguien en el pasado. Es bastante similar al español. Lo que soy ahora es lo que era en el pasado y simplemente se cambia la forma del verbo "to be" del presente a su forma correspondiente en el pasado.

  2. NO TIENE FORMAS CONTRACTAS O REDUCIDAS PARA EL AFIRMATIVO. • NO I’S COMO REDUCCION DE I WAS O YOU´RE EN LUGAR DE YOU WERE.

  3. En pasado el verbo to be se divide en: WAS y WERE WERE YOU THEY WE WAS I HE SHE IT

  4. Ejemplos: • was(yo fui o estuve) • Hewas(el fue o estuvo) • Shewas(ella fue o estuvo) • Itwas(ello fue o estuvo) • Wewere(nosotros fuimos o estuvimos) • Youwere(ustedes fueron o estuvieron) • Theywere(ellos y ellas fueron o estuvieron)

  5. Affirmative form: PRONOUN + VER TO BE + COMPLEMENT I was a good student They were doctors You were crying last night She was singing
