Eli Lilly Asia Outstanding Thesis Award Purpose Recognize outstanding doctoral students who have completed their Ph. D. research, submitted their thesis and made significant contributions in the field of medicinal chemistry, organic synthesis, computational chemistry, structural biology, or analytical chemistry.
Eli Lilly Asia Outstanding Thesis Award Eligibility The candidate must be a full-time Ph. D. student who has submitted his/ her Ph. D. thesis in the area of medicinal chemistry, organic synthesis, computational chemistry, structural biology or analytical chemistry from one of the10 institutions selected by Eli Lilly and Company.

Eli Lilly Asia Outstanding Thesis Award Required Documents • Resume of the nominee • An abstract (up to 5 pages) prepared by the nominee describing his/her research. The abstract may include figures and references to provide enough information for the evaluation committee to judge the quality and impact of the thesis without the original document. • List of Publications • Academic Track Record • Three letters of recommendation, one of which must be from his/her thesis advisor
Eli Lilly Asia Outstanding Thesis Award Nomination By a Three-Member Committee of the corresponding Institute appointed by the Director/ Head of the Institute. Two nominations to be recommended by the Director/ Head of the Institute to the Chairman, NOST Trustee.
Eli Lilly Asia Outstanding Thesis Award Final Selection By a Five-Member Committee selected by the Chairman, NOST Trustee. Final selection of the 10 First Prize winners and 10 Second Prize winners from a pool of 20 nominees will be made by the NOST Committee
Eli Lilly Asia Outstanding Thesis Award Key Dates May 31 Chairman, NOST sends a communication to the Directors/ Heads of the 10 selected Institutions requesting nominees for the Eli Lilly Asia Outstanding Thesis Award July 31 The nomination packages with required documents should be forwarded by the Director/ Head of the Institution to the Chairman, NOST Trustee and received by July 31 of each year starting 2009. September 30 Final Selection completed by Chairman, NOST and the results communicated to Directors/ Heads of the Institutions.
