Long-TermGoal *Adopt 21st century teaching approaches to enhance students appreciation of mathematics. *Understanding, managing, and creating effective oral, written and multimedia communication in a varety of forms and contexts
Short- Term Goals • Focus on students developing their Mental Maths skills. • Encourage students to maintain collaborative atmosphere. • Developing confidence in the students to eliminate their confusions by asking questions. • To make them understand the importance of solution and steps instead of just stressing on just bringing out answers.
To Remember: *Different types of polygons *Allot names to different shapes and figures * Know basic properties of Triangles and Quadrilaterals * Learning Formulae of Area and perimeter of the figures
To Understand: *The usage of formulae. *Difference between types of polygons. *Distinguishment between types of triangles and types of quadrilaterals.
To Apply: *New techniques to find measurements of different types of polygons. *The learned formulae to find the area and perimeter.
To Analyse: *The required lengths and angles of the given figures. *The data given, to apply the formulae.
To Evaluate: *Calculate Area and Perimeter of the basic shapes, i.e.: Triangles, Rectangle and Square *The rule of vertices.
To Create: *Construct the figures using steps of constructions. *Naming different figures using the rules of vertices

21st Century Learning Objectives The following abilities will further enhance in the students: Following Instructions: Students will be told to carry out the given instructions Problem Solving: Using the instructions students shall be able to solve the given exercises Organization: Steps of constructions are carried out by the students in an orderly manner. Decision making: Choosing the appropriate measurements Calculation: Enhancement of mental math skills Construction of diagrams: Using appropriate values for the figures. Lecture Demonstration: The lecture will include all the facts involving the topic to allow students to comprehend the topic better.
Methodology • Teaching method: • Lecture demonstration will be give using multimedia presentation • Students would be encouraged to ask questions at the end of every lecture.
Instructional Strategies and Tasks • I will encourage students to inquire and eliminate their problems by asking question and group discussion. • I will promote more discussion and collaborative work in the class. • I will ask questions from the students to explain the method and logic of obtaining answers. • I will explain different strategies of delivering the lecture and will ask students to choose the best strategy that should be followed.
Solutions to Anticipated Challenges Challenges Solutions • Parents may are unable to understand my methodology • of explanation. • I will make a sample example paper to demonstrate the method of explanation and will give to the parents. • Students are not feeling • comfortable in adjusting • themselves in Group work. • I will encourage students to develop communication skills and interactive skills. • Questions may arise to the subject incharge on my teaching methods. • I will show all my guides and • manuals to explain my • methodology.
