Cancer is a serious issue. • Cancer affects millions of people around the world. • Many who go through chemotherapy are too weak to work and medical bills pile up. • There is a serious need for more cancer research.
An estimated 11,958,000 people were diagnosed with cancer • Roughly 565,640 died of it in 2008. • Based on rates between 2007-2009, 41.24% of men and women born today will be diagnosed with cancer.
Chemotherapy alone can cost up to $30,000. • Cancer treatment pills can cost $4,300 a month.
Millions of people have loved ones die from cancer each year. Both of us have had loved ones die from cancer. • Many patients who have he option of chemotherapy choose not to do it, from the physical sicknesses.
