Role of the Instructor To create a hospitable setting for a classroom it is useful for an instructor to: • Create a covenant or rules for the group to observe. • Be prepared not just for what they are going to discuss, but to answer questions students might have, or shift a conversation into the focus of the discussion. • Have a lesson plan prepared to open up their lesson aims and conclude or recapitulate what has been said. • Decide how they want to present themselves, stage the classroom, and how they should engage in the discussion.
And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, 10 that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, Philippians 1:9-10, New King James Version This is the Scripture I think reflects a Teacher’s attitude best.
