Chullora Public School Transitions Program for Year 6 is run by the Australian Business and Community Network (ABCN) and in conjunction with Fuji Xerox
As part of this program, trained mentors from Fuji Xerox, work with students on social and relationship building skills to support them as they begin the transition into high school. The Transitions program runs over eight one hour sessions from Thursday 9 June 2011 until 27 October 2011.
The transitions program is kindly hosted by Fuji Xerox. The workers are chosen as the students’ mentors for the session. In a group, students discuss things such as goals and how to achieve them.

Students work competitively in their groups with their mentors to come up with creative ideas, games and presentations such as; • Edward De Bono’s Thinking Hats • Zip, Zap, Zoom • Mirror, Mirror • Teamwork to Create (ice-cream machine/smartboard)
When students have finished their sessions, they fill out their Transitions StudentLearningLog booklet, designed to help them remember what has been learnt through the activities undertaken. Students individual thoughts and opinions are recorded with the help of their mentors.
