IEEE P1903 (NGSON) WG • About the WG • The IEEE P1903 (NGSON) WG has renewed its membership scope from Entity to Individual. • Currently over 600 members world wide have subscribed to the WG including many R&D and Academic organizations within India. • The WG group meets in F2F mode as well as Web Conference mode for 4 times in a year.
IEEE P1903 (NGSON) WG • Work Progress • The IEEE P1903 (NGSON) WG has successfully produced the NGSON functional Architecture specification in 2011 and is available as a formal IEEE standard. • Currently there are 3 PARs progressing on the NGSON protocols technical specification. • P1903.1 – Content Delivery Protocols • P1903.2 – Service Composition Protocols • P1903.3 – Self Organization Management Protocols • All the TS documents are work in progress.
IEEE P1903 (NGSON) WG • Information Exchange • IEEE P1903 WG invites members of GISFI CSeON WG to provide their inputs on NGSON Architecture and protocols specification which are aimed at Converged Service Delivery in an Overlay Model. • To receive more information about NGSON, please visit - http://grouper.ieee.org/groups/ngson/ • In Jun’13, P1903 WG conducted a workshop at IEEE ICC 2013 in Budapest which are publicly accessible at https://mentor.ieee.org/1903/documents • IEEE P1903 WG also requests GISFI CSeON WG to provide status update on the on-going work to enable closer collaboration.
