  2. I chose the polar bear because I think they are beautiful, strong and well adapted. • Polar bear’s diet mostly consists of seals but will eat left over whale carcases • Their habitat is the cold tundra of the arctic and land around it • They are the largest bear and the largest land carnivore

  3. They are well adapted to their niche, with thick layers of fat, black pelt and thick transparent fur keeps them warm in the cold. • Global warming, and hunting's have made this species vulnerable. • They hunt on the edge of the ice but their hunting seasons are shorter because the ice is melting.

  4. Humans should protect polar bears because they are the apex predators and like any other, they keep the ecosystem balanced by controlling the seal population. • They also contribute to biodiversity. • They can be protected by donating to conservation efforts and by slowing and/or preventing any more damages from global warming
