2. The Health Center Office is located at La Guardia Community College Room MB40. The office hours are from 9 am to 9 pm.The Health center Department offers:●First Aid for injuries ●Blood pressure monitoring●HIV/AIDS Testing●Glucose &cholesterol screening●Health Counseling●Pregnancy TestWeight and Nutrition

3. Front Desk Area The responsible of the front desk are: • Greeting students. • Provide information or any service they need. • Scheduling appointments • Receiving and making phone calls.

4. Students or staff members that do not feel well can rest in the infirmary. They are supervised by the nurse or the EMT.

5. ExaminationRooms • There are 3 rooms where students can be examined by the Nurse Practitioner. She can diagnose and treat chronic health problems. • The nurse can prescribe any medication they need.

6. Over the Counter Medication • The Health Center Department provides medication to relieve minor pains. • For example: Tylenol, Advil Motrin, Benadryl and many others. • Students are request to sign up a book to keep track of it.

7. EMT Paramedic • The college has 2 Emergency Medical Technicians that respond to any emergency at the campus. • The EMT in the morning shift is Luz Ruyol. She is been working at La Guardia Community College for 5 years.

8. My Supervisor Ms Elizabeth Carde is the supervisor at the Health Center Office and she is been working at the college for nine years. She is a wonderful person who cares about the people, she always talks about the importance of education.
