  3. 10 Outstanding Programs are chosen every year through a rigorous • Process: • Documentary review of programs • Regional Screening • Selection of semi-finalists by the • National Selection Committee • Site validation • Selection of finalist by the NSC • Oral presentation by finalists • Decision-making • Presentation of awards • By the President

  4. Award for Continuing Excellence • LGUs who have been Galing Pook winners for five years and have developed • and sustained a culture of excellence within its locality. • Bulacan Province • Nueva Vizcaya province • Naga City • Marikina City

  5. Assist in building capability of local governments through dissemination of innovative and effective LGU programs. Facilitate replication through the creation of learning laboratories that serve as sources for policy agenda, model building and cross-fertilization of learning among LGUs. Serve as a resource institution on LGU innovations and best practices.
