Design Changes 10/16/03 • Eliminated Tachometer • Added 2 Encoders (now 3 Gurley’s) • Eliminated Limit Switches • Results: • Design Envelope increased 3 inch • in height; added one more plate • Eliminating Limit Switches will re- • duce machine shop cost (4 fewer parts • + no speed reducer) • Questions: • How much room is required on bottom • of unit to clear connectors on encoders?
