  2. Patient Safety Interest Network (PSIN)Wristband Subcommittee The PSIN Wristband Subcommittee was assembled from members of the ASHRM PSIN in response to an industry need for comprehensive information regarding color-coded wristband usage, models and band colors.

  9. ASHRM Recommendations Recommend for Standardization • DNR - Purple (71% reported are already using Purple) • Allergy - Red (100% reported are already using Red) • Falls - Yellow (94% reported are already using Yellow) Urge Nationwide Compliance

ASHRM Recommendations • Sponsor a nationwide meeting (face-to-face or virtual) • Conduct an audioconference on use & adoption of color-coded wristbands • Prepare an article for publication (ASHRM Journal of Healthcare Risk Management) or Monograph • Provide information on ASHRM’s Web site • Present at relevant conferences
