  2. QUESTION • Can different types of liquids affect plants growth?

  3. PURPOSE • The purpose of this investigation is to determine if different kinds of liquids affect plants growth.

  4. HYPOTHESIS • I hypothesize that different types of liquids will affect plants growth in different ways. For example, I believe that soda might make daisies grow.

  5. PROCEDURE

  6. MATERIALS • Daisies • Coke-A-Cola • Lemonade • Sprite • Ginger Ale

  7. variables • Responding : The health of the plant • Constant: The size of cup • Amount of cup • Type of flower- plant • Method of rating health of flower

  8. DIRECTIONS • Gather all materials • Label one cup A, one cup B one cup C one cup D one cup E • Fill cup A with Lemonade • Fill cup B with Coke-A –cola • Fill cup C with Sprit

  9. DIRECTIONS • 6. Fill cup D with Ginger-Ale • 7. Fill cup E with DR.PEPPER . • 8. Place one flower in each cup of liquid. • 9. After 1 day observe health of flower. Record a score for using a rating scale of 1 to 5 with I being healthy and 5 for being dead. • 10. Repeat step 2-9 for more trials.

  10. conclusion • My hypothesis was correct. Daisies can grow in lemonade. The rating average for A- lemonade was 3.4 . The average for B-Coke-a- Cola was 2.6 . The average for C- Sprit e was 2.6 . The average for D - Ginger Ale was 2.6 . The average for water was 2.6 . If I were to do this again I would use pink lemonade because lemonade worked the best for daisies.
