Equestrian Horse Opera “Le Prince” – Press Book – Press- and Media documentation of the first five locations, where “Le Prince” was performed 70 times
The story of the Equestrian Horse Opera “Le Prince“ • “Le Prince – Creation in Harmony” is a wonderful love story based on the legend of a French Prince, Louis Henri de Bourbon, 7th Prince de Condé, who lived 300 years ago. Convicend to be reborn as a noble horse, he builds “Grands Ecuries” in Chantilly, which are known as the most beautiful stables in the world. • The Prince welcomes guests from many Kingdoms to the offical opening ceremony of the “Grandes Ecuries”. As a gift the guests perform astonishing acts with their horses. Among the guests there is a Prince from Egypt, who has a very special relationship to his horses. Bond by the harmony of nature, he plays with them and they joyfully play with him. The French Prince and all his guests are amazed by his perfomance. • The moment the French Prince observes this true love and respect, his self-centered baroque personality changes dramatically. Deeply touched he decides to become a better human being. The French Prince finally is killed by a monster while hunting with his guests. But instead of being reborn as a horse – as the legend tells – he is lovingly received at heaven by an army of singing angels riding on white horses.
The water-castle Chantilly near Paris is the birthplace of Louis Henri de Bourbon, the 7th Prince de Condé. He ordered to build the Grandes Ecuries (far right side), the most beautiful and largest stables ever built for horses.
