  3. Language • One of the languages you may hear in Kenya is Sheng. A combination between English, Swahili and Bantú tribal tongues. Is known as one of the most secret languages of the 21st Century and with out knowing the language it would be quite hard to differentiate from Kiswahili. This is one of the 62 languages spoken by Kenyans which this one is the rarest languages. • The English is also a very spoken language in Kenya. • Languages spoken mainly: • English • Swahili • Hindi • Arabic

  4. Nairobi Nairobi is the capital city and the largest city of Kenya. Its coordinates are 1.17south and 36.49east . It was foundated in 1899 was build to link a railway of Mombasa to Uganda. The city and its surroundings are called the Nairobi province. The word “Nairobi” comes from the massai phrase: Enkare Nyrobi which translates “the place of cool waters”. Its also known as the green city in the sun.

  5. Turkana Lake Its formally know as the Rudolf lake its located in the Great rift valley North Kenya near the Ethiopian frontier. Its known as the largest permanent dessert lake and also the worlds largest alkaline lake. And it’s the fourth biggest salt lake.

  6. LakeVictoria The lake Victoria occupies a surface of 68,000 and its maximum depth of 84 meters. km2 the largest lake in all Africa and the 2nd widest fresh water In the world. Its enormous extension get to be in 3 countries: the northern half to Uganda, the southern half to Tanzania, and part of the northeastern sector to Kenya. The lake has many isles which are Known for its beautiful landscapes.

  7. Population density The population is estimated to be from 30 to 37 million people in all Kenya. The Kenyan government is to expect that It grows 2millions in 2010. The average people in Kenya is from 60 people per km 2. its more dense in the southwest of Kenya were Nairobi is. And the least is in the north of Kenya were Mombasa is located. Land Use 75% of Kenyans use subsistence crops such as : Coffee, tea, corn, wheat, sisal, and pyrethrum are grown in the highlands, in low lands they harvest: Coconuts, pineapples, cashew nuts, cotton, and sugarcane . Kenya is in part plane surface and that’s a benefit for many crops. Kenya also produces dairy goods such as, pork, poultry and eggs. The main energy and the only one Kenya produces by mass is hydro.

  13. Culture Questions 2.How are the clothes they use? The Kenyan cloths are different from each tribe. They do that to distingue each other, majority of the clothes are tunics. 1.Which is the typical food? Kenyans favorite food are many types like: Sea food, fruit, vegetables. The Kenyans festivals may include the Nyama choma roasted meat.

  14. How is their culture? As the Kenyan culture is decreasing the tribes have the responsibility to try to keep up their religion. The family is one of the most important things between the 40-70 tribes In Kenya its usual to live with father, brother, uncles, cousins, mother, etc. Their main languages are Swahili and English, but their many more. How are some of their traditions? Kenya has no main religion however, majority of the Kenyans are catholic, Anglican and other protestant religion. But those religion were the base of the Kenyan religions and believes.

  15. Health Care The health care rate is higher in united kingdom. Reason way: • The reason Kenya has lower health care than united Kingdom is because Kenya is a poor country, so many people are poor and they can not pay for going to a hospital and there are not so much doctors, but instead United Kingdom is a richer country and more people are rich and can pay if they need to go to the hospital and there are more doctors.

  16. Higher Education The higher education rate is higher in United Kingdom than in Kenya. Reason why: • The reason way Kenya has lower higher education is because is poor so not so much people have the money to enter there kids to a good school or because they need that the kids work to make money and instead in United Kingdom the parents of the child’s can pay the money for the school.

  17. DeathRate The death rate of Kenya is higher than United Kingdom Reason why: • The reason Kenya has more death rates than United Kingdom is because in all Africa there are many diseases like: malaria and in United Kingdom there are not that type of diseases. • The area of the United Kingdom is not desert or semi desert, but in the area of Kenya is semi desert and a bit of desert so many people do not have water or they do not have pure water so they become sick.
