Application Process • Fill out forms completely/accurately • Print out Counselor Sheet-UW system/other colleges • Turn into Student Service dept. • Fill out ½ sheet Yellow Transcript Request Form • On-Line registration • Copy of Personal Profile Sheet/Resume • Write a thoughtful, meaningful, well written personal statement-edit-rewrite-edit-rewrite--- • Letters of Recommendation 2-3allow 7-10 days for staff to write letters
Application process cont…. • Online application preferred • WI UW system colleges: apply.wisconsin.edu or uwhelp.wisconsin.edu • WI tech colleges: www.witechcolleges.org. • Private colleges refer to their website • Complete all areas of the application forms • Pay via credit card or include personal check or money order with application • Submit electronically and print out counselor page/HS verification page
Submitting forms to Student Services • Complete a YELLOW Transcript Request form-name of college(s)-on counter in Student Services office • Include: • Letters of recommendations (2-3) allow 7-10 days to write • Student profile or resume-or attach electronically • Personal Statement or Essay-or attach electronically • Other documentation requested • Turn all forms/letters/etc. to the SS secretary • Provide stamps and envelop for mailing within 2-3 days or school mail will be sent within one week. • Turn everything in together-not one thing at a time-will not accept • ACT scores-colleges need a copy-did you authorize a copy to college

The tuition at UW Colleges is approx. $4750.00 per year. • UW-Fond du Lac • A park-like campus surrounds a two-acre lake. UW-Fond du Lac has an enrollment of 760 students. Military opportunities • ASVAB-stands for Armed Forces Vocational Battery, a multi-aptitude test battery taken by juniors and seniors in HS. The battery consists of 10 short individual tests, which cover: • 1. Word knowledge • 2. Paragraph Comprehension • 3. Arithmetic Reasoning • 4. Mathematics Knowledge • 5. General Science • 6. Auto and Shop Information • 7. Mechanical Comprehension • 8. Electronics Information • 9. Numerical Operations • 10. Coding Speed • The ASVAB is a good reflection on how well you have developed your academic occupational abilities. • The ASVAB is free and will be given on Oct. 27thth @ 7:30 am here at Preble. Sign up will be approx. 1-2 weeks before the test date.
