  1. Ashraf Alkhairy has held Visiting Positions of Scholar and Professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Ashraf Alkhairy is the Principal Investigator of research projects and Co-Investigator in King Saud University projects at the Computer Research Institute, KACST, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, since September 2012. He has academic interest in electrical engineering and computer science, earth sciences, management and economics. He has also won many honors and awards throughout his academics and occupancies.

  3. During his professional career, Alkhairy has held following visiting positions - • As a visiting scholar in Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). • As a visiting professor in Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change (CEEPR). • As a visiting scholar in Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Department of Mechanical Engineering.

  4. He completed his training in the following - Advanced Econometrics from London School of Economics in the UK. Managing Projects Program from Arthur D. Little Management Education Institute. Software Quality Assurance Learning Tree International, Software Project Planning and Management, and Object Oriented Analysis and Design from Learning Tree International.

  5. Alkhairy specializes in and is interested in the following- • Engineering: Signal and Image processing, speech communication, seismic processing, control theory and systems and software engineering. • Management: Quality and Operations, technology management, strategic and international management, project and risk management, and decision analysis. • Economics: Managerial economics, knowledge economy, industrial economics, modeling and forecasting, econometrics.

  6. Ashraf Alkhairy has several skills, such as scientific agility, teamwork, communication, organization, initiative, problem solving, management, planning, and commercial awareness. He has registered for patents of Geophone Coupling for Excited Systems and Ambient Noise and Geophone Coupling. He has published the works in a variety of journals, which includes IEEE and Springer journals.
