Purpose • Although the ACV has a heating mode, the primary purpose of the ACV is to cool the wearer during hot weather by absorbing heat from the wearer’s torso. • The ACV may be used with or without body armor, and may be configured to be used with germ and chemical warfare protective suits and other protective garments.
