Skin analysis is very important part of the facial treatment because it determines what type of skin the client has, the condition of the skin and what type of treatment the client's skin needs. Skin Analysis & Consultation

On the client consultation card is a section devoted to determining a contraindication. A contraindication is a condition the client has or a treatment the client is undergoing that might have a negative side effect during the facial treatment. Allergic to Fragrance Retin-A (Skin exfoliation) Tazorac (Skin exfoliation) Accutane (Causes thinning of the skin) Pacemaker (Avoid electric treatments) Open sores, fever blisters etc. Pregnancy Health Screening
Oily-Over production of oil, large pores, shiny Dry-Lack of sebum, pores very small, Normal-Even pore distribution, soft smooth Combination-T-zone usually is oily, cheeks dry Acne Prone-Presence of red papules & pustules, comedones, clogged pores Skin Types
