  1. Fear God! “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear Godand keep His commandments, for this is man’s all” Ecclesiastes 12:13

  3. Matthew 10:28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

  4. Fear His Wrath A. God is just. • Romans 11:19-22 B. God’s punishment causes fear. • Acts 5:1-11 “For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil.” Ecclesiastes 12:14

  5. Fear Sinning Against Him A. Fear is included in repentance. • 2 Corinthians 7:11 • Fear toward repeating the sin again. • 1 Peter 5:8 B. Our ignorance will be judged. • Luke 12:42-48; 2 Thessalonians 1:6-8

  6. Fear Him Because He is God • Fear – yârê'– to fear; morally to revere • Fear – eulabeia– reverence (piety) A. God is holy, He must be revered. • Reverence in worship – Hebrews 12:25-29 • Exodus 3:1-6 • Revere His name. (Leviticus 24:10-16) B. There are consequences to irreverence.

Fear God! • We must fear the inevitable conclusion of disobedience to God – being cast into hell. • We must be vigilant and fear sinning against the one who can send us there. • We must be cognizant of His nature, and revere Him. “Fear Godand keep His commandments, for this is man’s all” – Ecclesiastes 12:13
