Last Time There is too much turmoil in our lives The Comforter has come! We have the presence of the Trinity We can abide IN them and they IN us He gave us His peace It is our choice to walk in it Practice His Presence We must let peace rule by prayer
Fighting Fear Fear of death is the power of the enemy Weapon against it? Go ahead and die Remember His presence with us continually Trust Him and not yourself Grace is God’s love in action Know His peace for you in its depth
Examining our walk We fear all sorts of things Fear of death in many ways Fear is our faith turned sour Unknown forces out of our control We listen to what the world says Tend to ignore what the Lord says World seems to have greater power The Lord is further down the list
Faith isn’t knowing what God can do… Faith is knowing what God will do…
The Fear of Jehovah We don’t fear what we should fear We have treated the power of God lightly Turned into a vending machine He is our servant and lackey He is the God of the Universe What has He truly given to us? His love is immense Do we know it’s true depth?
The Fear of Jehovah Not fear that keeps us from Him Fear that we alienate the relationship If He were to destroy us because of sin… He would have done it already Placing maximum importance on Him Fearing missing His grace Fearing the hold of idolatry Fearing the depth of the cost to my soul
Hebrews 12:14-15 Eagerly pursue peace and holiness with all, without which no one will see the Lord, watching diligently that not any lack from the grace of God, that "no root of bitterness growing up" may crowd "in on you", and through this many be defiled Forgetting His grace is deadly That is where bitterness comes from This defiles many It starts with relationships
Proverbs 8:13 The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; I hate pride and loftiness, and the evil way, and the perverse mouth. Evil disrupts my relationship All these destroy me They keep me from Him He loves me and wants me to be close to Him To choose them is to hate Him
Psalm 130:3-4 If You will keep iniquities, O Jehovah, O Lord, who shall stand? But forgiveness is with You that You may be feared. He knows your sin We stand by His grace Do we want our sin back? I fear negating His grace

We ignore His power What kind of being are we dealing with? We treat Him lightly and off-handedly

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Wisdom is the practical application Gaining knowledge is good Understanding is better Wisdom is the best It all comes from the Fear of Jehovah
Fear of Jehovah Do we know His power? Are we afraid of alienating Him? Who is the true boss of our lives? We have fear because we don’t have fear If I am trusting me, I should be afraid If I am trusting Him, there is no fear Natural vs. supernatural Walk in the Spirit, walk in the flesh
Any fear that is not the fear of Jehovah is false worship giving false credence to a false god
What is your fear factor? What would change if He were here?
Does He love you? Is He present?
The Fear of Jehovah is the place of safety and peace.
