Recommendations to Decrease Risk of Laser Damage to Suspension Wires • Prepare baffles for mounting on sensitive optics during next vent opportunity • Incorporate bias slider limiters on IO and RM • To be locked in once nominal bias established • Use a preset misalignment button if procedural misalignments are required, not a slider • Incorporate PSL shutter closure based on shadow-sensor or optical lever triggers • Epics not fast enough to stop a direct hit of a 5-10 W beam onto wire, but such an immediate direct hit is unlikely • IO steering optics should accommodate a tight threshold Raab - Decrease Laser Risk
