  2. Pedometer • What is a pedometer? • It is a small device • It tracks the distance travelled on foot • It can track walking or running

  3. Pedometer Purpose -Students would be able to track how much distance they traveled in physical education class -Encourages movement Price and Where to Buy Pedometers are fairly cheap -Prices can be as low as one dollar if bought in bulk -Can be found online or at a local sporting good store

  4. Television • What is a Television? • A television is a device that can be used to watch movies or cable • The picture is displayed on the screen

  5. Television Purpose -Students can exercise through example from the television -Videos make learning easier and more fun Price and Where to Buy -Can be bought online or at an electronics store -Prices vary with the size of screen -Example: 32inch would range from four hundred to seven hundred dollars

  6. DVD Player • What is a DVD Player? • A DVD player can play movies on a disc • Once hooked up to a television it can play movies

  7. DVD Player Purpose -Students can watch exercise videos - Students can learn from watching videos Price and Where to Buy -Can be bought at local electronic store or online -Prices range from thirty to seventy dollars

  8. Richard Simmons Exercise Video • What is it? • It is a workout video • Has numerous workouts to help people stay in shape

  9. Richard Simmons Exercise Video Purpose -Help students have fun while exercising during class -Help students stay active in class Price and Where to Buy -Price per video ranges from ten to fourteen dollars -Can be found online

  10. Stereo System What is it? - A boom box is a radio that music can be played on - It has two speakers that produce sound

  11. Stereo System Purpose - Let students listen to music when exercising -Students become more motivated when listening to music Price and where to Buy -Price ranges from fifty to two hundred dollars - Can be bought online or at your local electronics store

  12. Overall • All of these products would be beneficial to students in an elementary physical education class • Students need the equipment to stay more active in class • By having the equipment students will feel more motivated to participate
