NEIGHBOR \ˈnā-bər\ DEFINITION: A person living or located near another. • EXAMPLE OF USAGE: • My neighbor and I painted our houses different colors.
LOBSTER \ˈläb-stər\ DEFINITION: A large edible marine crustacean that has stalked eyes, a pair of large claws, and a long abdomen. • EXAMPLE OF USAGE: • Lobsters are very dark green when in the sea, but they turn a reddish orange when you cook them.
CATCH \ˈkach, ˈkech\ DEFINITION: a: To capture or seize especially after pursuit <catch a thief>. b: To take or entangle in or as if in a snare <catch fish in a net>. • EXAMPLE OF USAGE: • It’s almost impossible to catch a fish with just your hands.
CATTLE \ˈka-təl\ DEFINITION: : Domesticated quadrupeds held as property or raised for use; specifically: bovine animals on a farm or ranch . • EXAMPLE OF USAGE: • Cattle need to eat and drink water everyday.

REEF \ˈrēf\ DEFINITION: a: A chain of rocks or coral or a ridge of sand at or near the surface of water — compare atoll, barrier reef b: A dangerous obstruction • EXAMPLE OF USAGE: • Coral reefs are protected by governments today because they house thousands of species.
STONY /ˈstoʊni/ DEFINITION: Full of stones, pebbles and/or rocks. • EXAMPLE OF USAGE: • Some people prefer stony beaches over sandy ones because they don’t like sand on their skin and things.
WINTER /ˈwɪntɚ/ DEFINITION: The coldest season of the year that is after autumn and before spring. • EXAMPLE OF USAGE: • They live in Canada, but they spend winters in Florida because it’s warmer there.
