EIPC Non-Grant Update • The Eastern Interconnection Planning Collaborative (EIPC) is continuing its efforts to develop and analyze models of the 2018 and 2023 planned transmission system • EIPC has developed a schedule of activities extending through the spring of 2014 • The current activity to develop models of the transmission system will include analyses of scenarios that change the starting point assumptions used to develop the 2018 and 2023 models • The EIPC will be working with stakeholders during this time frame to collect input, comment, and ideas on which scenarios to study

Principle & Guidelines for Scenario Development • To assist stakeholders in the process of developing potential scenarios of their own for consideration by EIPC, a posting has been made to the EIPC website to explain the types of scenarios that will be analyzed, the information required and to provide a sample scenario description • Principles and Guidelines for EIPC Stakeholder Scenario Development Associated with the Creation and Analysis of Roll-up Models • In the future, EIPC will post descriptions of scenarios that it believes might be interesting and useful to analyze • At that time, EIPC will solicit input and comment on potential scenarios
