  1. Dear Scientists, We have been working on our Motion and Design vehicles. On the chart below, rate your understanding of this unit so far. Put any questions you have about the unit on a note card and I will do my best to answer them.

  2. Dear Super-Duper Students, Some of you attached the Super Bowl last night. It is a contest between the two best U.S. professional football team. Why not make up your own Super bowl? It can be a contest between two dirt bikes, or a race between two pet turtles. Pretend you are a sportswriter and describe your own professionals Super Duper Bowl. Write your response in your Rachel’s Challenge journal.

  3. News and announcements: It’s All About YOU! It is always important to learn more about each other. Please complete the booklet on your desk. After you have finished, please read or write quietly at your desk.

  4. IS IT RIGHT OR WRITE? Homophones are words that sound the same but have different spellings andmeanings. To explain what each homophone means, first draw a picture of it. A picture can help you understand what the word means. Then use the word in a sentence. Be sure to check your spelling!

  5. Think Positively There are really only three types of people: • those who make things happen • those who watch things happen • and those who ask, what happened? Which one are you and why? Write your response in your Rachel's Challenge Journal.
