  1. Farmer Green From To Subject Deep River Soil Scientists Will Earthworms Help? Dear Deep River Scientists, I am about ready to purchase the field you have been helping me investigate! I think it will be a great place to grow my crops. Your teacher told me that you found out that loam is a good soil for growing healthy plants. I have one more question I need you to help with. My grandfather, who was also a farmer, used to say that Earthworms were a farmer’s best friend. I’m not sure what he meant by that. I wonder if I should be adding some more Earthworms to my field.
