  1. STEM CELL TREATMENT

  2. Stem cell • Stem cells are the ‘building blocks’ of life. • When a stem cell divides, each new cell has the potential either to remain undifferentiated. • People can use stem cells to replace ill or aging tissues or organs. • A great asset for medical treatments. • Enabling treatments for a wide range of diseases and injuries.

  3. Stem cell treatment • A type of genetic medicine that introduce new cells into damaged tissues in order to treat a disease or injury.  • The ability of stem cells to: • Self – renew • Give to subsequent generations • That can differentiate offers a large potential to culture tissues that can replace diseased and damaged tissues in the body, without rejection and side effects.

  4. Stem cell therapy • Stem cell therapy is provided with pure, viable and potent mesenchymal stem cells isolated from the tissue of umbilical cord. • An effective alternative to bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells. “An intervention strategy that introduces new adult stemcells into damaged tissue in order to treat disease or injury.”

  5. Types of stem cells

  6. Mesenchymal stem cells • Bone marrow contains a population of rare progenitor cells known as Mesenchymal Stem Cells. • These cell are capable of replication as undifferentiated cells or differentiating into bone, cartilage, fat, muscle, tendon and marrow stroma. • Mesenchymal stem cells are characterized morphologically by a small cell body with a few cell processes that are long and thin.

  7. Conclusion • Research on stem cells continues to advance knowledge about how an organism develops from a single cell and how healthy cells replace damaged cells in adult organisms. Stem cell research is one of the most fascinating areas of contemporary biology, but, as with many expanding fields of scientific inquiry, research on stem cells raises scientific questions as rapidly as it generates new discoveries. • To know more about stem cells treatment & therapy visit: http://www.unistembiosciences.com
