  8. NCMA Boston: Where we were

  9. NCMA Boston Website Project • Solution: • Develop a website that is: • High quality • Content rich • Easy to set up • Easy to maintain • And make it available to any Chapter for a fraction of the design and development cost

  10. NCMA Boston: Where we are

  11. Website Project • Content rich website in standardized format • Automated Daily Industry News Feed • Integration of photos from either Chapter or National Flikr Account • Simple WordPress interface to update content • Examples: • NCMA Boston: www.ncmaboston.org • NCMA Orange County: www.ncmaoc.org • NCMA Eastern Tennessee: www.ncmaet.com

  12. NCMA Website Structure • Member Resources • Employment Listings • Chapter Newsletter • Tuition Assistance • Volunteer Application • Articles of Interest • Photo Gallery • Join Our Mailing List • Store • Products • Shopping Cart • Order Status • NCMA Chapter • Chapter Overview • President’s Letter • Board of Directors • Chapter Officers • Chapter Documents • About NCMA* • Benefits of NCMA • Join NCMA • NCMA Fellows • Chapter Meetings • Cancellation Policy • Education • Certifications • March Workshop* • Training • Development • Advancing Professionals • CMLDP • Women’s Forum

  13. Lessons Learned • Shamelessly ‘steal’ content from National and other chapters • Make a group decision on whether to add bios and pictures of Board members • Use a document sharing site like Google Drive so others can work on the content with you • Set firm deadlines during the Chapter-specific content generation phase and stick to them • You can apply contract and project management principles to your website PROJECT!
