ObesityWhy are people obese? • People eat too many calories. • People eat too many meat and dairy products • People have the wrong information about what is healthy and what is not. • A lot of people don't care and are too lazy to get in shape and go on a diet or just eat healthy. • When people get deppressed they may get into habit of eating a lot which includes junk food and other unhealthy foods.
Effects of an Unhealthy Body • You can get....Diabetes, Heart Disease, Cancer, etc. • You can die-who wants to die? • You feel really sick and you get tired and worn out easily while doing physical activities. • You can get deppressed because people might make fun of your body state • You might get overweight or obese
What is Healthy?Two Healthy Types of Foods and Why • Fruits and vegetables- They are whole foods, they are pure, they contain natural sugas, they have barely any ingredients, they have a chemicals that make them colorful called antioxidants. • Whole Grains-by eating whole grains you will have less of a risk of get chronic diseases.Also, whole grains are healthy because they come from wheat which is grown and is not proccessed.
A Healthy RecipeWoodstock Peace Salad with Tahini Dressing Salad • Organic mixed greens (romain, arugila, or spinach) • Diced cucumbers • Red peppers • Shreddesd carrots • Brocolli florets • Diced red onions • Shredded purple cabage • Sprouts of your choice • Avacado • Olives • Hemp seeds
...Continued • Tahini Dressing • 1 cup tahini • 1/2 cup lemon juice • 1 garlic clove • Purified water (use enough to thin out and create the desire consistensy) • Salt and pepper to taste • Prepare the salad ingredients of your choice and toss them together. • Whisk together all the dressing ingerdients in a bowl until combined. • Dress the salad and serve.
