Cancer Information Management • Legislation passed in 1992 requires health care facilities and physicians to report their cancer cases • Cancer registries collect information about the incidence, type, disease at diagnosis, treatment methods, and survival of patients • Due to limited educational opportunities, there are not enough professionals to fill this rapidly growing field. • This program prepares students to work in cancer registries
