Mauney Bishop • Oversight of our synodical vision that “We are Ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us!” (II Cor. 5:20) • Oversight and encouragement of the Ministerium and our Congregations • Oversight of the ministry of Word and Sacrament in the Virginia Synod • Chief Ecumenical Officer • Director for Evangelical Mission • To publicly celebrate who we have been and are and can be through the gospel as the Virginia Synod.

Hinlicky Director, Lutheran Partners in Mission Which is a ministry of the Virginia Synod which encourages philanthropy and volunteerism among Virginia Lutherans Full Time • Responsible for: • Directs the United Lutheran Appeal • Promotes the work of the Synod’s Eight Mission Partners in our congregations throughout Virginia • Educates congregations, pastors and church leaders about endowments, bequests and gift planning

Synod Staff Keith Brown Financial Advisor • On behalf of the Treasure, oversee day to day budget receipts and expenditures and the booking function of the synod. • Provide support for and liaison to the Finance and Budget Committee • On behalf of the Secretary of Synod: • Maintain the official roll of ordained ministers, rostered lay leaders, & congregations • Maintain the synodical archives • Represent the synod on the Region 9 James R. Crumley, Jr. Archives

Synod Support Staff Kayla Fuller Director of Communications Full Time • Enhance quality of synod office communications including website • Enhance Bishop’s capacity with variety of media • Sharing stories of the ministries and institutions of our synod • Establish greater communication with the islands of Papua New Guinea • Assist in communicating the feeding of children in the commonwealth

Christopher Price Assistant to the Bishop ¾ Time • Works with the pastors and congregations in the four conferences east of the Blue Ridge: Germanna, Peninsula, Richmond, and Tidewater, in order to promote evangelical mission, to coalesce support and resources. • Engages in healthy mission planning, and identifies areas and • opportunities for new mission endeavors.  • Supports the Candidacy Committee and its ministry.
