Brief history • From about 100AD to 271AD most of Romania was the roman province of Dacia. • Barbarian tribes conquered and overran the native Daco roman population • After the Ruso-turkish war of 1828-1829 Romania became russian protectorates • At the begining of world war 1 Romania proclaimed its neutrality but it later joined the allied side and declared war on the central powers.
Brief history • The armistice of november 11th 1918 gave romania vast territories from Russia and the Austro-hungarianempire,doubling its size. • During world war 2 Romania was reorganised along fascist lines. • Around 270,000 jews altogether were massacred in fascist Romania
