The Book of Isaiah • “Iniquity and solemn assembly” (1:13) • Not only was He openly mocked, but these religion-lovers were a constant model to their children to grow up the same way. • “Why would God want me to worship Him all the time? If he really loved me, he’d let me be free to do what I want – what I feel is best for me.” • Rebellion may be “normal” – has been for millennia – but it isn’t “OK” and shouldn’t be expected in houses where God is Lord.
