1. Dear Parents: As part of our Physical Education Unit, children have the opportunity to participate in skating activities at arenas throughout the region. We have been given three dates: December 10th from 1-2 at Don McLaren Arena. Arena. Sandhills departure time is 12:40. Arena departure time is 2:10 p.m. January 31st from 9:30-10:30 at 1-2 at Don McLaren Arena. Arena. Sandhills departure time is 12:40. Arena departure time is 2:10 p.m. February 14th from 1-2 at Don McLaren Arena. Arena. Sandhills departure time is 12:40. Arena departure time is 2:10 p.m. Students need the following: *a helmet (hockey or bicycle) *skates with skate guards *a bag to transport items safely *mittens *Snow pants are optional. Volunteers are needed to lace skates for all three dates. Depending on the number of classes attending, volunteers may have to meet the class at the arena as there may not be enough room on the bus. Cost for the bus for students only is $3 per trip. If your child needs skates, please indicate below and return your form immediately so that I can arrange for skates. I can not provide skates “last minute” so please get your request in early so that I may fit your child with skates for the above dates.
