Eggers Success Story Eggers is an international forest products company based in Austria • Challenge • IT was seeking a low cost alternative to their Sun systems to run SAP • System had to be low cost, high performance and highly reliable • Sun was the incumbent • Eggers was also considering Oracle RAC as alternative • Solution • 14 HP Proliant Servers (7 running SAP, 7 Running Oracle) • HP EVA8000 Storage system • Red Hat Enterprise Server • SAP and Oracle • SteelEye Protection Suite for SAP SIOS’ strong partnerships with HP and SAP along with a quality solution implemented in over 20 different SAP/Linux sites was key to Eggers decision
