Farming in Ancient Egypt • Ancient Egyptians grew crops on the banks of the River Nile because that was the only place that had fertile soil. • They grew things like wheat, barley, vegetables, melons and pomegranates.
Mummification It took fifty days to wrap the mummies in linen cloths. The person who embalmed and prepared the bodies was called the slicer priest . Some priests wore masks with the head of a Jackal because Anubis was the god of mummification and embalming.# The slicer priest would put the organs in canopic jars.
Our Trip to the museum We went on a trip to the Petrie Museum and we saw lots of artefacts.
Facts I have learned. In Egypt the River Nile is the longest river in the world. In the past in Egypt people lived in mud houses
