Introduction – Pgs. 1-6 In your composition book reflect and answer the following… • What are your feelings about school? • What is your academic history? • What successes have you had in school? • What are some moments/classes/teachers/projects that you did not enjoy? Why didn’t you enjoy the moment/class/teacher/project, etc.? • What do you want to get out of this school year?

  3. Step 1 “Find your motivation” – Pgs. 7 & 8 In your composition book reflect and answer the following… • How do you picture yourself? • What sort of job are you doing? Are you purely a student or do you have a part-time job? • What skills do you have? Homework: Tonight for homework interview your parents… one or both. Ask them about what kinds of student they were, what goals they had for themselves at your age, how they feel about their current job, etc… Anything that will give you and insight into who your parents are, if they are in their “dream job”, what obstacles or pit falls they encountered along the way, etc.

  4. Step 2 – “set your goals”, pgs. 9-11 In your composition book reflect and answer the following… Take some time to think before writing. • Create a list of goals for your self. They can be academic, athletic, personal improvement, … any goal you think is worthy of the list.
