The land of the free… It has always been said that America is the “land of the free, and the home of the brave.” But sometimes I wonder if it really is free.
Constitution It the United States constitution, the “unalienable” rights of American citizens are listed: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
Arguments • Are aborted babies human citizens that deserve the unalienable rights? • Is a hate crime a violation of these rights and how? • Is there discrimination when it comes to getting into college or getting a job because of race, money, religion, or sexual orientation.
Unborn Babies • Pro-lifers confront the U.N. about abortion saying it is an “Act of Violence.” • 68,000 deaths annually
Hate Crimes • Beginning of 2013 more and more hate crimes are reported to authorities because of ethnicity, disability, etc.
College Opportunities • Student Voices staff reporter, John Vettese speaks up about foreign students taking white students’ college opportunities.
