Early Electronic Computers By: Christopher Bagnell By 1946 two major working electronic digital computers were built. • The ENIAC in the U.S.A. • And the Colossus in the U.K The Colossus was designed and built at the Post Office Research Laboratories at Dollis Hill in North London in 1943. The ENIAC was built at the Moore School of Electrical Engineering, at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, for the US Army's Ballistics Research Lab.

  3. Two Guys in a Garage By: Connor Robalik 1. In 1976 Apple Inc. was founded by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, oh snap and in the same year is when the introduced the Apple 1 microcomputer. This became very popular. 2. They thought the 1st ,,computer was a success, but it lacked commercial use. So in 1977, so they brought out Apple 2 a home and business computer, which was an immediate success. 3. In 1984, they put out the Macintosh which revolutionized computers with a new graphical feature and it used a mouse.

  4. First hobby & home computers Ethan Marschean In 1972, Xerox Corporation made a personal computer to be used for research .the Alto computer is named after the company. The Alto was made by Ed McCreight, Chuck Thacker, Butler Lampson, Bob Sproull, and Dave Boggs, were trying to make a device that was small enough to fit in an office, but powerful enough to support a useable, high-quality system and picture display. Their goal was to provide each user with a personal computing able to meeting all their needs and that would allow users to share information easily. In 1978, Xerox donated fifty Altos to Stanford, Carnegie-Mellon, and MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). These machines were quickly assimilated into the research community and rapidly became the standard against which other personal computers were judged.
