What happens at PCE First session with new club we show all students how to operate all equipment We assign a job to each student We set up a rotation schedule so that each student has a opportunity to work each job. Job assignments are: Anchors - Select 2 Weather Birthdays Idioms Nurse video Science Fab Vocab Switcher Special Reporter
After a few weeks of training we slowly let the kids start running the broadcast activities. We monitor and redirect when needed. In most cases by Thanksgiving the club runs automatically with little redirection. We keep all of the equipment in the room set up. We change jobs every week. We take tour field trips, one in the fall and one in the spring. Each member pays $20 which covers any equipment replacement, t-shirts, pins and field trips. We keep it small 10 to 12 students handselected.
