History of the Institute and Current Activities F. Tavadze Institute of Metallurgy of the Georgian Academy of Sciences (GAS) was founded in 1945The Institute is multiprofiled and conducts research in diverse branches of metallurgy. It is consists of 30 laboratories and a Research Center of Powder Metallurgy and Coatings .
