  1. My Road Map: An Emotional Journey Prianka Singapura

  2. “If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.” - Henry David Thoreau Path I want to Take

  3. San Luis Obispo Beach, CA. My family used to go there several times a year and it is where I first learned how to swim. Many special memories were created here.

  4. Shapell Park in Los Angeles, CA was a root in my childhood. I learned how to ride a bike, went on Easter egg hunts, had birthday parties, went on family picnics, and learned to play my biggest passion: soccer.

  5. Del Taco is my comfort food, It always puts me in a better mood. It was the first place I ever finished a meal, After I am done, I am always full of zeal.

  6. My cousins’ house was where my family spent much of the summertime. Whether in the pool or just hanging around, I realized that I love big families. And, with three girl cousins, I finally felt like I had sisters.

  7. Moving to New Jersey was the best thing that ever happened to me. I was able to come out of my shell and let my imagination grow. I spent hours climbing trees with my friends and just loving the beautiful outdoors. I can still smell the fresh pine trees that surrounded our home.

  8. When I was eight, I went to India for the first time. I had no idea that I was related to so many people! Being there allowed me to totally connect with the culture, something that is hard to do living so far away.

  9. Sugar Land is where I consider home to be. Everything I love is here- my family, friends, dog, and community. This is the only place where I feel a sense of completion. With the sounds of laughter and smells of home-cooking, my heart is full of nostalgia.

  10. Family Vacations My family has taken countless road trips. We have driven cross country...twice! We usually get off to a rocky start but eventually, we are forced to get along and end up having some of the best experiences. One in particular was when we drove to Niagara Falls. We were drenched despite the plastic ponchos, but I remember laughing so hard that I developed a stomach cramp! It was absolutely great!

  11. Our trampoline: a source of pure fun with my two brothers. I love spending time with them and they always make me laugh.

  12. A dark cloud hung over my sophomore year of high school. My dad moved to China for work and my paternal grandma passed away. It was the first time I saw my dad’s fallibility and it scared me because I had to be the comforting shoulder for once.

  13. My senior year of high school was perfect. I had the best time with my family, friends, and soccer team. Leaving Austin High School was as difficult as leaving home- comfort was replaced with mystery.

  14. Robertson Stadium is where the Houston Dynamo play and was a big part of my life last year. My 6 best friends and I attended every home game of their inaugural season. We came to feel like we were an irreplaceable part of the crowd and that the team needed us. I have never cheered so loud in all my life. Just being there gives me a rush of endorphins.

  15. This past summer, I fell in love with Europe. I want to explore the deep culture in enchanting Paris. I feel like I could learn so much about art, music, and a leisurely life by just being there.

  16. The soccer field has always been synonymous with home because I associate it with undying support from my parents and my best friends.

  17. UT is foggy. This is where my pilgrimage becomes unclear and I am insecure. There are two sides to UT: the good and the evil.

  18. My family is always good. They are my strength, my motivation, and my sense of place.
